*****New and Improved** **New edits and illustrations*****
A good author always works on getting better. Some of you spoke, and I listened. I found someone outside the Trailer-Hood to edit my book and I think you’re gonna like it. PLUS… (yes, there’s more) I have added over FORTY illustrations by an actual profession artist! That alone is worth $1.99! So buy the book, so I can afford to edit the next one...
Ever thought about what life is like in a trailer park but you were too afraid to admit it to anyone? Well fret no more! If you’ve ever wondered about the Trailer-Hood community, this is the book for you. Not fluent in redneck speak? No worries, you won’t need Jeff Foxworthy or a redneck dictionary to enjoy these colorful stories. Tucking a tissue in your suspenders to wipe the tears rolling down your face from laughing so hard might be a right smart idea. Now we know, that not all rednecks live in trailer parks and not all trailer parks are full of rednecks. It’s probably just a lucky coincidence for this trailer park owner/author. Let’s start off by settin’ the record straight. Some people think that rednecks are toothless, beer drinking, UFO chasing, NASCAR fans. The truth is that a full twenty three percent of us have most of our teeth and have never seen a UFO while sober!
Welcome to The Wonderland Trailer Park! Where your business is everyone elses… Come on in and meet our trailer-hood of interesting and colorful characters. Alice, the park matriarch, and her wandering teeth will solve all your marital issues. Darrell and Darrel and their 3 legged cat Clyde will have you in stitches. Cornbread and Snowflake (real names) will educate you with their deep thinking. You might even learn something. Like how many excuses there are for not paying rent on time. What is an acceptable substitute for rent money? How many uses are there for picnic tables? Are towels one size fits all? Why does a breeze make tying down a trailer a fishing expedition? Are security camera’s always a good thing? What is the real price of a threesome? If you enjoy sagas of lawlessness, divorce, love, purple condoms, cognac, and much more, then these true and humorous satires are for you! Real life tales that will make you belly laugh while scratching your head and asking; “what were they thinking”? The answer is, most of the time, they weren’t!

Tales from the Trailerhood edition by Skip Clark Humor Entertainment eBooks

The premise seems simple: People are dumb, and they do stupid things.

While there are probably some genuinely funny nuggests in Clark's experience, he does not do the best job of relating them to readers.

I can picture people getting a big kick out of many of these stories sitting around a campfire and having a couple of beers.

However, in a book, these stories were lacking. Clark, a real estate investor, gives us vignettes from some of his tenants at a trailer park. Do they fit the stereotypes we all know? Of course. Clark superficially tells the "funny" stories, but the book is poorly formatted and edited. The stories aren't that funny.

On a positive note, it is a quick read, and cheap.

Tales from the Trailerhood edition by Skip Clark Humor Entertainment eBooks Reviews

As a childhood prisoner of a galvanized ghetto in a dirt road trailer court at the end of a runway Skip has time "in country" .
I read the book on a recent cruise where the 2am Walmart crowd locate a giant Buffett off a third world country. If you could have put wheels on the damn thing his characters were all around.
Having never lived in a trailer or trailer park, I have always wondered about the entity as I've heard from friends who have had the experience. This little ditty had me laughing from the start. What a great sociological insight.
I think that, if Clark were one of the residents, this book might have been funnier; but, because he owns the trailer park, it just comes across as mean spirited. The book fell flat to me because I started feeling sorry for his renters.

There were a couple funny nuggets, but not enough to make it a light hearted book.
As a couple that came close to owning a package of trailer homes, we are now even more thankful the deal didn't go through. This book certainly was darn right funny and entertaining and leaves us having to wonder if there might have been some great fun in having been trailer landlords! Look forward in reading the other adventures of Skip Clark.
That's what you'll be saying when you find you're at the end of this book. OMG! Hold on, Tales from the Trailer-Hood reads fast. Each snippet is a morsel of full-flavor fun, and you'll crave just one more turn of the page. I have gotten more laughs retelling these tales to friends. The antics of these residents are zany enough, yet knowing that these are real people that have done these unreal things just sets the hilarity over the top.

Great job, Papa Skip!
Skip Clark does a fantastic job describing his "friends." I'm not sure he would be considered politically correct, but he is funny. Hopefully, no one has been offended by these characters.
and there are a whole lot of them in
this trailer hood. Some describe it as southern humor, I disagree, its just funny and these characters exist in Boston and Maine and elsewhere, thy just don't live n trailers. A lot of the characters are amalgamations because no one could be that stupid (or could they). this was a great read and I can't wait for more. The only bad thing is the author has written several other books on serious topics, he will be best known for his adventures as a trailer park manager than for anything else he ever wrote. So when is book two due out and oh yes please make it longer by s factor of 10.
